Information and professional engagements

Website articles, examples, calculators, FAQs, and general chat responses provide general information. They are not individualized legal, tax, investment, or accounting advice. Laws and individual circumstances vary; obtain advice specific to your situation before acting.

An inquiry, appointment request, portal account, or document upload does not by itself engage us to perform work, file a return, make a payment, or meet a deadline. A professional engagement begins when both parties agree to its scope and we accept the engagement. An existing signed engagement agreement governs the services it covers.

A website disclaimer does not cancel duties arising from an accepted engagement or applicable law. No refund, tax saving, audit result, penalty outcome, or other financial result is guaranteed.

Permitted use and your submissions

Use the website lawfully. Do not attempt unauthorized access, impersonate another person, submit malicious code, disrupt service, scrape private records, or use another person’s information without authority. Automated public access must not circumvent access controls or interfere with service.

You are responsible for having authority to submit information and for its accuracy. Public inquiries should contain only the contact details and general question needed for a response. Do not submit confidential tax documents or sensitive identifiers through public forms or chat.

Content and external services

Our original website content, branding, and design belong to us or our licensors. You may view and print content for personal or internal business reference. Other copying, resale, or misleading use of our name or branding requires permission, except as applicable law permits.

External links and embedded services are provided for convenience. Their providers control their content, availability, privacy practices, and terms. A link does not promise their suitability or establish responsibility for their independent acts.

Availability and website liability

To the extent permitted by law, the free public website is provided as available, without warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or freedom from errors. We may correct, change, or discontinue public website features. Do not rely on an inquiry or website availability to protect a filing or payment deadline.

To the extent permitted by law and where these terms form an enforceable agreement, we exclude indirect, incidental, special, and consequential damages arising solely from use of the free public website, and our aggregate liability for those website-use claims is limited to $100. This provision does not determine liability for paid professional services, which is addressed in the applicable engagement agreement.

No exclusion or limitation applies to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or liability or rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited. Nothing here restricts honest reviews, legally protected reporting, or access to regulators.

Applicable law and changes

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Alabama law governs an enforceable agreement under these public website terms, without overriding mandatory protections that apply elsewhere. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or a class-action waiver.

We publish changes with a revised effective date. Changes apply prospectively and do not retroactively change an accepted service agreement. If a change requires your affirmative acceptance, we will request it. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law.
